Ngorongoro highlands
This morning we will make our way to the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way we will take the opportunity to stretch your legs and take a break and spend it exploring the nearby Mto wa Mbu village. Try your hand at bargaining with the locals in the markets, pick up some authentic souvenirs or just immerse yourself in the culture. Mid morning we continue on our way to the picturesque Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic views as we drive up into the highlands to your accommodation at Tloma Lodge. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Highlands from the lodge or spend the afternoon relaxing with a massage. A solar-heated swimming pool is always popular after a day of walking around the farm or in the local village.
Bird watching is a favorite pastime at the lodge and guests will have the luxury of watching birds from the comfort of the lodge. Guided morning and evening nature walks through the Tloma farm is a great introduction to Wairak culture and traditions.
Guests will have an opportunity to view a beautiful waterfall on an escorted walk through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This extraordinary volcanic landscape boasts stunning craters and lakes.

Day 1
After breakfast you will be greeted by one of our professional guides who will brief you on the activities of the day before heading off on the first day of your safari. After the briefing we will make our way to Tarangire National Park. This park has some one of the highest densities of elephants in Tanzania, and it’s sparse vegetation is dotted by baobab and acacia trees making it a beautifully unique landscape. The park owes its name to the perennial Tarangire River and photographic opportunities abound when the many mammals of the park make their way to the water to drink. You may be lucky enough to encounter a herd of elephants frolicking in the mud and coating themselves to protect their skin from the sun, or giraffes reaching high into the acacia trees for a feed. You will enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation at Tarangire River Camp.
