One Day Arusha NP - Safari and Walking Tour
Following breakfast, our professional tour guide and driver will greet you and provide a brief safari overview. We'll then embark on a journey eastward to the captivating Arusha National Park. This compact yet stunning Tanzanian National Park holds the distinction of being the nearest national park to both the renowned Arusha "safari town" (30 km) and the Kilimanjaro International Airport, making it an ideal choice for one-day safaris or tours.
The park's abundant wildlife is complemented by its remarkable topographical diversity, rendering it one of Tanzania's most beautiful and varied parks. Notable features include the rugged Mount Meru, Tanzania's second-highest peak at 4566 meters, the distinctively hued Momela Lakes, and the expansive Ngurdoto Crater, which boasts a width of 3 kilometers and was formed approximately fifteen million years ago.
Our adventure commences with an exhilarating morning game drive, followed by a leisurely lunch at a scenic picnic site within the national park. The afternoon holds another thrilling game drive, allowing us to explore both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. Expect to encounter a diverse array of wildlife, including African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys, and, on rare occasions, the elusive leopard or hyena.
As the late afternoon approaches, we'll make our way back to Arusha, where our safari adventure concludes. You'll be transported to your hotel, marking the end of our tour for the day.
