Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Pick up from Arusha and transfer to Tarangire national park. After breakfast you are met by our professional tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which we travel east to the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania's dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, along the Tarangire River. Late afternoon we depart for Mto wa mbu a small town which is a souvenir hunters paradise, harboring thousands souvenir salesmen - ready to pounce at your slightest invitation located near Manyara National park where we will end our first day safari adventure. Dinner and overnight as per standard and type of accommodation option requested.
Day 2: Mto wa Mbu - Lake Manyara – Mto wa Mbu
After breakfast you will get a short Safari info about this day from your guide/driver, after which we travel for 15 minutes to the Great Rift Valley and the Lake Manyara National Park. The Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania's most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley's western escarpment. The park's varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa's densely populated African elephants herds, Lake Manyara's famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake. We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, in search of the tree-climbing lions. Late afternoon we depart for Mto wa Mbu at the previous day accommodation site.
Day 3: Mto wa mbu – Ngorongoro – Arusha
After breakfast Early in the Morning we leave the accommodation site to the Ngorongoro viewpoint area so that we can enjoy the sunrise from a distance over the Ngorongoro Crater you will receive some information about the Crater here before descending about 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for the last day of your Safari. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. We will have our lunch at a picnic site near this lake. After this we will ascend from the crater for our final drive to Arusha to end our Adventure.
