Arrival in Arusha
On arrival at the airport you will be personally met and escorted by one our guides to your accommodation at Lake Duluti Lodge. Made up of 18 spacious, contemporary African styled, romantic chalets, ideally positioned for maximum privacy. All chalets are positioned to face the coffee farm and each has a private deck with an amazing view of the ancient indigenous trees found in big number within the farm. The lodge has been designed in a way that you will feel like you are staying at home rather than at a top end hotel.

Day 1 Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Pick up from your Lodge in Arusha and transfer to TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK. After breakfast you are met by our professional tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which we travel east to the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, along the Tarangire River. Late afternoon we depart for Mto wa mbu a small town which is a souvenir hunters paradise, harboring thousands souvenir salesmen - ready to pounce at your slightest invitation located near Manyara National park where we will end our first day safari adventure. Dinner and overnight will be at Balloon Lodge Tarangire, located inside Tarangire National Park close to Boundary Hill with spectacular views of Tarangire National Park. The tents come with king sized four poster beds and large verandas from which to enjoy Tarangire’s famously spectacular sunsets.

Day 2 – Tarangire - Serengeti National park (FLY IN)
After breakfast you will board your flight to Serengeti Seronera from Kuro Airstrip. On landing at Seronera airstrip, you will be met by your Guide. The transfer to Lahia Tented Lodge includes a fascinating game-drive through the famed SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK. Spectacularly abundant concentrations of wildlife, stunningly beautiful landscapes and vast pristine areas make the Serengeti one of the most exciting parks to visit in Africa. The numbers of wildlife that call this park home are simply staggering. Estimates put wildebeest numbers at 1.7 million, zebras at 250,000, Thomson’s gazelle at 440,000. Also, be on the lookout for lion, hyena and cheetah, as these predators also exist in high concentration on these world famous plains.  Arrive at the accommodation site for Lunch (this will depend on flight hours) where you can decide to do a final short game drive or relax and enjoy a sundowner before your evening meal. Dinner and overnight will be at Lahia Tented Lodge or Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge depending on clients accommodation preferences

Day 3 – Serengeti plains

Sunrise on the SERENGETI PLAINS is not to be missed and extraordinary photographic opportunities will abound at this magical time of day. After breakfast we will start game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible Lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. In the afternoon we will return for a hot lunch and a one hour rest. After this we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons - including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink! Dinner and overnight will be at Lahia Tented Lodge, strategically located at the top of a hill overlooking Central Serengeti with views towards Western Serengeti, within reach of mythical locations such as the famous kopjes masais, the museum at the Olduvai gorge, Seronera valley and the Grumeti river.
  • Extra tour recommended: A wonderful balloon Safari over the Serengeti (599USD per person)

Day 4 Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Ngorongoro highlands
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will start your drive to Ngorongoro Crater while doing a game drive along the way in the Serengeti. After reaching the Crater entry gate we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for full day game drive. THE NGORONGORO CRATER is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is the dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, after which we ascend the crater then exit the park for a drive to your accommodation located some 30 minutes from the Ngorongoro Exit Gate . Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu.

Departure flight
The day is left free to wind down after the Safari before your flight home, or Zanzibar should you choose to have an extension vacation on the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar. Depending on flight times you could go and explore Karatu town and grab some souvenirs before heading to the airport. You will be picked up from your accommodation and then transferred to Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport or for your departure flight
